Program Plan Intro

Physical layer (Layer 1):

• It is one of the layer in OSI model and it deals with the connection that exists between two different stations.
• It defines the cabling, wiring, hardware equipment, pulses that represent binary signals etc.
• It provides services to the data link layer.

Data link layer (Layer 2):

• It makes the transmission of data reliable provided by the physical layer.
• For reliable transfer, it divides the data into data frames and transmits through the communication channel.
• At the destination, it checks for the transmission error and send the acknowledgement to the source.
