Interpretation:

The change on titrating an acid of pH 1.0 with a base and using bromocresol green as an indicator is to be determined.

Concept Introduction:

Indicators are brightly coloured organic dyes and are weak acids and bases. They give different colours in different pH ranges of the solution. In titration, the endpoint is determined when the colour of the solution starts to change on adding a base or an acid according to the required titration.
