A dilute solution contains less amount of solute in large amount of solvent.
The movement of particles from higher concentration region to lower concentration region is termed as diffusion.
Osmosis is the process of movement of particles of solution through the semipermeable membrane from less concentrated solution to more concentrated solution.
A semipermeable membrane allows only the solvent molecules to pass through it.
