Introduction:
The spinal cord is paired with the spinal ganglia, which is composed of dorsal and ventral roots. The dorsal or the posterior root receives the sensory signals. The ventral or anterior roots receive the signal from the motor neurons. Motor functioning of the body is controlled by the anterior nerve of the spinal cord, so its damage would lead to damage in the motor functioning.
