The statements in favor or oppose of following proposals that are made by energy analysts:
a. The elimination of government subsidies for all alternatives of energy so that all the choices of power can compete on a level that plays a vital role in the marketplace.
b. All the subsidies and government tax breaks for conventional fossil fuels, synthetic oil and natural gas, and nuclear power should be strictly eliminated. All these things should be replaced with the subsidies for improving efficiency for energy and the development of renewable sources.
c. Development of renewable sources of energy should receive no or very little help and should be left to private company enterprises, but the fossil fuels and nuclear power companies should continue to have sizeable federal tax breaks and government subsidies.
