Introduction:

The brain is the largest and most complex organ of the human body. It is classified into three parts, namely forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain. The spinal cord originates from the brainstem. The forebrain comprises the cerebrum, hypothalamus, and the pineal gland whereas the hindbrain includes the cerebellum, medulla oblongata, and the pons. The cerebrum comprises the largest area of the brain and is classified into the left and right hemispheres.
