Design and implement a Java class named Book with two data members: title and price. The class should have suitable constructors, get/set methods, and the toString method. Design and implement another Java class named BookShelf which has an ArrayList data member named bookList to store books. The class should have suitable constructors, get/set methods, and the toString method, as well as methods for people to add a book (prototype: addBook(Book book)), remove a book (prototype: removeBook(Book book)), and search for a book (prototype: findBook(Book book)). Test the two classes by creating a Bookshelf object and five Book objects. Add the books to the bookshelf. Display the contents of the bookshelf. Test the removeBook and findBook methods as well. Take screenshots of your tests and submit them with your Java code (not the whole project)
In order to implement different ways of discount strategies for an object oriented parking system, we have a DiscountStrategy interface and CompactWeekendDiscounts class. The CompactWeekendDiscounts class class checks if the date is a weekend and the car we are about to park is compact and makes a discount.
Based on the class diagram implement the two - a DiscountStrategy interface and CompactWeekendDiscounts class using java. (no need to implement ParkingLot class )
Are there obvious improvements that could be made here with respect the software design for Squares and Circles?
What programming constructs were you familiar with, and which did you need to look up?
Assume we used a separate array for Squares and for Circles rather than one unifying Object array.
How would this complicate the task of adding a new Shape (say, a Triangle) to our ObjectList class?

- Design an application that does the following: A Solid can be a FlatSurfaceSolid or a CurvedSurfaceSolid. Every solid will have a volume. The method volume will be polymorphic. A solid has faces, vertices and edges. A flat-surface solid also has a variable called side which represents the length of the side. A curved-surface solid also has a radius. A Cube is a FlatSurfaceSolid. A cube has 6 faces, 8 vertices and 12 edges. It will have a side. A Sphere is a CurvedSurfaceSolid. It has 1 face, 0 vertices and 0 edges. It will have a radius. Create an ArrayList of solids (driver file named YourLastNameCISC231Q1.java). The arraylist will have 4 elements – 2 cubes (one with side length 3 and another will side length 4) and 2 spheres (one with radius 3 and another with radius 4). Create a driver class to instantiate an array of solids and display the details of each solid along with the volume of each solid.arrow_forwardIterating over a collection of items is the job of the for construct's looping mechanism. The class should have 2 fields: abscissa(x) and ordinately). The class should have a method which takes a Point object as parameter and finds the distance between the two points (calling object & argument). The class should also have a static method that takes 2 point objects and returns their midpoint as a new Point object. (No driver class or no other methods required) The distance (d) between 2 points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is given by: d = (x1 – x2)2 + (y1 – y2)² The midpoint (x3, y3) between 2 points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is given by: x3 = (x1+x2)/2 y3 = (y1+y2)/2arrow_forward
