Question
Chapter 13.8, Problem 18CP
Program Plan Intro
“IntVar” object:
A class named “IntVar” can be used along with the “tkinter” radiobutton widget.
- • The “IntVar” object can be associated with a group of check buttons having unique values that are assigned to each individual option that is specified.
“Checkbutton”:
The “Checkbuttons” are used to select any or entire buttons that are displayed in the groups, so that “checkbutton” are not mutually exclusive selections.
- • “Checkbutton” widget enables the user to read and select two-way choice.
- • When the “Checkbutton” is selected, the associated “IntVar” object will hold the value “1”; if it is not selected, then the associated “IntVar” object will hold the value “0”.
- • The “Checkbutton” can be implemented to multiple choice input widgets by assigning each button a variable of its own process.
- • The “Checkbutton” is very similar to the “radiobutton”; when one choice is selected, the others in the group can be deselected, thereby making the buttons mutually exclusive of each other.
