Introduction:

A change in the genetic material or the makeup of a population over successive generation resulting in adaptation to origin and environment is known as evolution. Evolution by natural selection allows reproduction and survival of the individual. The changes in the heritable characters are passed on from one generation to another (key mechanism of evolution). It gives rise to “biodiversity at each level of biological organization”.
