The blood flow through the vessels causes a pressure to develop within these vessels which is known as the blood pressure. The blood vessels are of three types namely arteries, veins and capillaries. The normal systolic blood pressure is 120 mmHg (millimeters of mercury), and the diastolic pressure is 80 mm Hg.
