Introduction:
Muscle contractions are of different types, such as isotonic contractions and isometric contractions. Isotonic contraction occurs when the tension produced by the muscle contraction is greater than the load (external force) and this results in the contraction of muscles. The muscle length changes during isotonic contraction. Isometric contraction occurs when the load is higher than the tension produced by the muscles and results in no change of the muscle length and contraction of muscles occur.
