Carpet Calculator
The Westfield Carpet Company has asked you to write an application that calculates the price of carpeting for rectangular rooms. To calculate the price, you multiply the area of the floor (width times length) by the price per square foot of carper. For example, the area of floor that is 12 feet long and 10 feet wide is 120 square feet, to cover that floor with carpet that costs $8 per square foot would cost $960. (12 × 10 × 8 = 960.) First, you should create a class named RoomDimens ion that has two FeetInches objects as attributes: one for the length of the room, and one for the width. (You should use the version of the FeetInches class you created in
Next, you should create a RoomCarpet class that has a RoomDimension object as an attribute. It should also have an attribute for the cost of the carpet per square foot. The RoomCarpet class should have a member function that returns the total cost of the carpet.
Once you have written these classes, use them in an application that asks the user to enter the dimensions of a room and the price per square foot of the desired carpeting. The application should display the total cost of the carpet.

- 9. Trivia Game In this programming exercise, you will create a simple trivia game for two players. The program will work like this: Starting with player 1, each player gets a turn at answering 5 trivia questions. (There should be a total of 10 questions.) When a question is displayed, 4 possible answers are also displayed. Only one of the answers is correct, and if the player selects the correct answer, he or she earns a point. After answers have been selected for all the questions, the program displays the number of points earned by each player and declares the player with the highest number of points the winner. To create this program, write a Question class to hold the data for a trivia question. The Question class should have attributes for the following data: A trivia question Possible answer 1 Possible answer 2 Possible answer 3 Possible answer 4 The number of the correct answer (1, 2, 3, or 4) The Question class also should have an appropriate _…arrow_forwardCredit Card Number Check. The last digit of a credit card number is the check digit, which protects against transcription errors such as an error in a single digit or switching two digits. The following method is used to verify actual credit card numbers but, for simplicity, we will describe it for numbers with 8 digits instead of 16:• Starting from the rightmost digit, form the sum of every other digit. For example, if thecredit card number is 4358 9795, then you form the sum 5 + 7 + 8 + 3 = 23.• Double each of the digits that were not included in the preceding step. Add all digits ofthe resulting numbers. For example, with the number given above, doubling the digits, starting with the next-to-last one, yields 18 18 10 8. Adding all digits in these valuesyields 1 + 8 + 1 + 8 + 1 + 0 + 8 = 27.• Add the sums of the two preceding steps. If the last digit of the result is 0, the number isvalid. In our case, 23 + 27 = 50, so the number is valid.Write a program that implements this…arrow_forwardCredit Card Number Check. - Random Number Guessing Game Create an application that generates a random number in the range of 1 through 100 and asks the user to guess what the number is. If the user’s guess is higher than the random number, the program should display “Too high, try again.” If the user’s guess is lower than the random number, the program should display “Too low, try again.” If the user guesses the number, the application should congratulate the user and then generate a new random number so the game can start over. Optional Enhancement: Enhance the game so it keeps count of the number of guesses that the user makes. When the user correctly guesses the random number, the program should display the number of guesses.arrow_forward99 question Reza Enterprises sells tickets for buses, tours, and other travel services. Because Reza frequently mistypes long ticket numbers, Reza Enterprises has asked his students to write an application that shows if a ticket is invalid. Your application/program tells the ticket agent to enter a six-digit ticket number. Ticket numbers are designed so that if you lose the last digit of the number, then divide by 7, the remainder of the division is exactly the same to the last dropped digit. This process is shown below: Step 1: Enter the ticket number; for example 123454 Step 2: Remove the last digit, leaving 12345 Step 3: Determine the remainder when the ticket number from step 2 is divided by 7. In this case, 12345 divided by 7 leaves a remainder of 4. Step 4: Display a message to the ticket agent indicating whether the ticket number is valid or not. If the ticket number is valid, save the number to a .txt file called “tickets.txt” and.arrow_forward4.35 (Sides of a Triangle) Write an application that reads three nonzero values entered by the user and determines and prints whether they could represent the sides of a triangle. - Population Tracker Learning Objective: Using Python Repetition and Loop Statements Problem Description Write a Python program (Console and GUI) that predicts the approximate size of a population of organisms. The application should use text boxes to allow the user to enter the following information: starting number of organisms, the average daily population increase (as a percentage), and the number of days the organisms will be left to multiply. For example, assume the user enters the following values: Starting number of organisms: 2 Average daily increase: 30% Number of days to multiply: 10 The program should display the following table of dataarrow_forwardScientists measure an object’s mass in kilograms and its weight in Newtons. If the object weighs more than 1000 Newtons, display a message indicating that it is too heavy. The program should then determine whether the month times the day equals the year. If so, it should display a message saying the date is magic.
