The region of the midbrain which is inhibited from secreting the neurotransmitter in Parkinson’s disease.
Introduction:
The basal nuclei cells in the brain are inhibited by the release of the neurotransmitter dopamine. The substantia nigra cells release this chemical in the brain. The damage of these cells increases the movements and tonicity of the muscles leading to the Parkinson’s disease.
