Chapter 14.4, Problem 3CYP
Summary Introduction
To analyze:
The result of failure of autonomic nervous system on homeostasis.
Introduction:
Homeostasis refers to maintaining and balancing the internal environment of body even in presence of variable external environment. All the systems of the body work together to maintain homeostasis. Nervous system is one of such systems. It controls the actions of the body and is divided into central and peripheral nervous system. Peripheral nervous system consists of nerves that aid the central nervous system.

- Read the scenario below and answer the question that follows. Julie usually wakes up very tired each morning, but she wants to improve her ability to function during the day. What is the best advice one could give Julie about her plan and getting more sleep? A. Scientists don't know much about why we sleep. You can't really do anything about it. B. It is usually better to go to sleep later, since you'll be more tired. C. Forming new habits takes time. Stick with your plan. D. Going to sleep earlier would never have helped.
