To write:
The way of signal generation by the binding of TGF-β to cell-surface receptors which are transmitted to the nucleus, where modifications take place in the target gene expression. The activity in the nucleus which confirms that the concentration of the active Smads closely replicates the activated TGF-β receptors level on the cell surface.
Introduction:
Transforming growth factor beta or TGF-β is a cytokine which is multifunctional. It belongs to the superfamily of transforming growth factor. It consists of four dissimilar isoforms like TGF-β (1 to 4) represented as TGF-β 1, TGF-β 2, TGF-β 3, TGF-β 4. This growth factor family also contain many other signaling proteins that are produced by all lineages of white blood cell. TGF-β receptor I show activation of Smad2 and Smad3. These Smad2 and Smad3 are the proteins which form a hetero-oligomer with Smad4.
