Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Some couples are not able to conceive due to conditions that impair fertility. A couple is considered infertile if they fail to conceive even after trying for a year. Such couples can be helped by various methods such as artificial reproductive technologies (ARTs). This term refers to all techniques, in which both sperm and eggs are handled outside the body. ART techniques are the favorite method for couples, who are unable to conceive because the female’s oviducts are blocked/damaged due to some reason such as the scarring of the oviduct due to a prior pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).
