Concept explainers
Write a program to perform the following calculations assuming the variables are already defined as in ICA 16-13. Calculations should not be suppressed. If the calculation is not possible or causes an error message on the screen, write MATLAB comments explaining the problem.
The results of the calculations should be stored into variable names of your choosing. Each calculation should be stored in a different variable. Here, note that a superscripted “T” indicates the matrix should be transposed

- Please include a kinamatic diagram (for velocity) Please DO NOT solve this using velocity analysis (cartesian vector analysis). I would like it to be solved using scalar method. We dont use 3D in this course. We only use scalar analysis for the relative velocity equation as requested in the question (writing the x and y components of the equation and solving the equations for the unknowns). Below I have attached a sample question with solution in order to get an idea on how to use the scalar method to solve my question. I would like question this to be solved in a similar way. Thank you for your understanding. If you can solve it as soon as possible that would be great and I will give you a thumps up and positive feedback :)arrow_forwardNewton’s 2nd Law Lab (Modeling friendly lab) Go to the PhET simulation Forces & Motion. https://phet.colorado.edu/sims/html/forcesandmotionbasics/latest/forcesandmotionbasics_en.html Select “Acceleration” Click to show Forces, Sum of Forces, Values, Mass, and Acceleration. There are two experiments for this activity – make sure you include both. Experiment #1: Acceleration vs. Force In this lab you will determine the relationship between acceleration and net force. Choose a mass at the beginning, and keep it constant for this entire experiment. Set the friction to zero. This will make your Applied Force equal to the net force. Record data for five different values of Applied Force. Graph Acceleration vs. Net Force. Graph this in Google sheets(you want a line graph - it should only have one line). Make sure that Applied Force information is used as the x value Make sure that Acceleration information is used as the y value Add a trendline – see what fits best –…arrow_forwardOn an alien planet, the law that expresses the flow of blood through a blood vessel, F, as a function of the radius r of the vessel is f=kr5/2where k is a constant. Certain geological features of this planet produce a gas that changes the radius of blood vessels by 5% at the time of inhalation. What would the corresponding increase in blood flow through the vessel at this time be? Write 1-2 sentences explaining how you found your answer.arrow_forward
- Engineering Economy A company has determined the price and the monthly demand of its products are related by the equation D = √775 - p, where p is the price per unit in dollar and D, is the monthly demand. The associated fixed costs are $2,125 per month and the variable costs are $100/ unit. Use this information to answer the following: a)What is the optimal number of units that should be produced and sold each month? b) What is the maximum profit? c)Determine the value of D that represents the break-even point?arrow_forwardHi. I am trying to practice this problem using a checker online, but everytime I recalculate my answer it always says it's incorrect. So far I have calculated and tried to input the following values: 0.0342 m3/s, 0.0358 m3/s, 0.04277 m3/s, and 0.0555 m3/s but it always keeps saying they are incorrect. Please help show me the correct steps on how to get the correct answer as I am trying to learn this process. Thank you!arrow_forwardThe Pascal triangle can be displayed as elements in a lower-triangular matrix as shown on the right. Write a MATLAB program that creates a n × n matrix that displays n rows of Pascal’s triangle. Use the program to create 4 and 7 rows Pascal’s triangles. - As the potential across the resistor increased, the current through the resistor increased. If the change in current is proportional to the voltage, the data should be in a straight line and it should go through zero. In these two examples how close is the y-intercept to zero? Is there a proportional relationship between voltage and current? If so, write the equation for each run in the form potential = constant x current. (Use a numerical value for the constant.)arrow_forwardPosted below is a picture of a data table and a diagram of an experiment. In the experiment you rolled a marble down a ruler ramp off the end of a coffee table to observe projectiles and conservation of energy. You do 3 trials for each initial height. Each height is measured in meters. h= initial height of marble off of table Y= height of table off floor X= horizontal distance marble goes from edge of table to where it strikes the floor a) use the table to find information you need to solve for theoretical range and % of error in measured range.arrow_forwardBriefly explain each of the following block (one sentence or less)a) G96 S200 M03b) G00G42X20.0Z2.0c) G92 X59.0 Z-50.0 R-2.5 F0.25 d) G72 P10 Q20 U1.0 W0.5 F0.2arrow_forward

In general, the three-dimensional state of stress at a point requires six stress components to be fully described: three normal stresses and three shear stresses (Figure 1). When the external loadings are coplanar, however, the resulting internal stresses can be treated as plane stress and described using a simpler, two-dimensional analysis with just two normal stresses and one shear stress (Figure 2). The third normal stress and two other shear stresses are assumed to be zero. The normal and shear stresses for a state of stress depend on the orientation of the axes. If the stresses are given in one coordinate system (Figure 3), the equivalent stresses in a rotated coordinate system (Figure 4) can be calculated using the equations of static equilibrium. Both sets of stresses describe the same state of stress. The stresses σx′and τx′y′ can be found by considering the free-body…arrow_forwardThe title of our study is "Design and Fabrication of an Agricultural Spraying Attachment for an Autonomous Rover" we need help in the machine design part of our study, specifically Pump selection, battery selection, and center of gravity computation I already sent you the image of the rover Rover weight capacity 35 kilo grams (payload) Rover measurements: Wheel distance - 14.5 inches and 8.5 inches Rover platform size (width & length) 14.4 inches x 10.4 inches Height- 15.8 inches. Water tank selection More or less 25 liters *For tank selection we need to justify the size with the center of gravity, proving that is the maximum dimension or liters of the tank because the center of gravity will be higher making the rover prone to toppling Pump selection *Our sprayer design has two nozzles which splits using a tee splitter, we need to find the size of the pump to obtain the same discharge rate of a normal sprayer. A normal sprayer has a 12V pump and a pressure from 0.2 to 0.45 mpa…arrow_forward
