The act of communication has to undergo the process of sending and receiving the message between the sender and the receiver.

Answer to Problem 1CRQ

In the communication process, the sender decides to send the message and determines the concept and purpose of the message. The sender then through the process of encoding formulates the message and converts it into a useful message which is then sent through a medium for the process of decoding to happen after which receiver receives the message and send the feedback again to the sender regarding message.

Explanation of Solution

Given information:

Those factors and influences which are derived from the outside world which impacts the business operation are referred to as the external business environment.

The process of communication is as follows:

  • Sender − The one who sends the message in order to establish communication. In this process the sender decides to send the message to the receiver.
  • Encoding- Initial phase of communication in which the message is formulated by sender by converting the thoughts and ideas into something meaningful which the receiver could receive and understand the message.
  • Medium − The medium is referred to as the instrument through which the message is delivered between the sender and the receiver. In other words the work of the medium is to transmit the message by taking it from sender and delivering it to the receiver.
  • Message − Message is referred to as the content that is purposefully drafted by the sender for the receiver in a way that receiver receives it and derives meaning from it.
  • Decoding − Decoding is referred to as the process of decoding the message sent by the sender so that meaning could be derived from it.
  • Receiver − Receiver is someone who receives the message sent by the sender. The receiver fulfills the purpose of communication by understanding the message sent by the sender and take appropriate actions regarding it to fulfill the process of communication.
  • Feedback − It is the last stage in the communication process in which the receiver sends feedback to the sender to express his ideas, views and beliefs regarding the message sent by the sender to him/her.
