Summary Introduction

To identify: The structures which is common to all four major plant groups: Vascular tissue, flowers, seeds, cuticle, and pollen.

Introduction: The vascular tissues are found in leaves, branches and stems. The cuticle is layer of waxy material which prevents the water transpiration and also protects the aerial parts of the plant.

Explanation of Solution

The cuticle is a waxy layer found in all vascular tissues. The transportation of water from the roots to the different parts of the plant is done because of this cuticle layer majorly present in terrestrial plants. The terrestrial plants are more exposed to the sunlight which may increase the transpiration process in plants.

This transpiration process is controlled by the cuticle that prevents the loss of water during high temperature. The cuticle is a layer of protection on pollen grains and seeds. This layer prevents the decaying of seeds and pollen grains even in extreme temperatures.

Conclusion

Out of all, the cuticle is present in the vascular tissues, flowers, seeds, and pollen. This cuticle is a layer of wax that prevents the transpiration of water.
