To determine: How many kinetochores are there in a human cell at mitosis.
Introduction: Mitosis is the process of somatic cell division in which two identical daughter cells are produced. Each daughter cell produced has equal chromosome numbers as parent cell. Kinetochores are large proteins which are located at the centromere of each sister chromatid. Kinetochore microtubules attach to sister-chromatids pair at kinetochores.
