Introduction:
Nociceptors are the sensory receptors that are activated on any tissue injury and generates the signal for the perception of pain. These sensory receptors are present all over the body. The pathway, followed by the sensory receptor is called a projected pathway. The receptor receives the pain signals and transfers to the central nervous system (CNS) of the brain.
