Introduction:
The hypothalamus of the brain is responsible for controlling the secretion of the hormone by the anterior pituitary. The structure of the hypothalamus secretes releasing as well as inhibiting hormones that either stimulate or inhibit the secretion of hormones from the anterior pituitary. The hormones reach the anterior pituitary through the portal system.
