Summary Introduction
Euglenids and kinetoplastids belong to Excavata group of protists. Members of kinetoplastids are characterized by presence of kinetoplast which is a compact mass of kDNA (which is a circular DNA), present in the single mitochondria. Euglenids comprise non-pathogenic and motile organisms which show phototrophic and chemotropic mode of nutrition.
