Concept Introduction:
Lidocaine is one of the most widely used injectible anesthetics. It is also known as xylocaine and ligocaine. It is used to treat the blocked nerves. Lidocaine is mixed with small amount of adrenaline used to decrease the bleeding. When it is used in injection form, it starts working within four minutes and it lasts for half an hour to three hours.
