Natriuretic peptides are those peptides that induce natriuresis. Natriuresis is a process of the loss of sodium ions. There are three types of natriuretic peptides:

1) Atrial natriuretic peptides also known as ANP.

2) Brain natriuretic peptides also known as BNP.

3) C-type natriuretic peptides also known as CNP.

Angiotensin II is a peptide hormone that causes the constriction of the blood vessels and increases the blood pressure.
