- 1. Guitar World Company (GWC) sells musical instruments online It purchases acoustic guitars from several manufacturers in large volume and needs storage space for its distribution system To secure storage space, GWC enters into an agreement with Safe Storage Inc. to deliver 500 acoustic guitars per month to Safe Storage s primary location, which is the closest location to GWC. GWC can retrieve the guitars from the storage facility whenever it chooses. - 2. Guitar World Company (GWC) sells musical instruments online. It purchases acoustic guitars from several manufacturers in large volume and needs storage space for its distribution system. To secure storage space, GWC enters into an agreement with Safe Storage Inc to deliver 500 acoustic guitars per month to Safe Storage's primary location, which is the closest location to GWC. GWC can retrieve the guitars from the storage facility whenever it chooses. Because GWC has a policy that all of its acoustic guitars must be kept in a facility that maintains humidity at 48%. the agreement between GWC and Safe Storage required the guitars to be stored at 48% humidity. To accommodate this requirement. Safe Storage modified a section in its primary location to maintain the humidity level at 48%.

JPC is seeking to obtain a backup power source and believes that SMWA can provide the electricity when needed JPC will give SMWA advance notice as to when and how much additional power is needed up to SMWA facility's full capacity. Because SMWA agrees to provide electricity on demand, it runs the risk of having idle capacity during less-than-peak demand periods.

- Companies that have a high demand for making copies, both color and black and white, often choose to lease a high-end copier that provides fast and reliable service at a reasonable cost. The lease is usually for 3 to 5 years, and the cost to the user is $0.19 per page for black-and-white copies and typically $0.265 per page for color copies. These are the terms of your current 3-year lease contract with Ricoh Company, which is up for renewal this month; the lease terms are expected to be the same for the next 3 years, if renewed. Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) developed an innovative copier that can reduce the cost of color copies. The copier measures exactly how much color is used in a color copy so that the price of the copy can be determined by the amount of color used rather than a fixed price per page. The cost could be as low as $0.251 per page for a color copy. HP calls this a “flexible-pricing” approach. Assume for this example that the cost of the leased copier (3-year lease)…arrow_forwardTwo types of financing options are offered for an automobile by a local dealer, as shown in the following table.
