Chlorination of benzene.

Bromination of benzene.

Nitration followed by nitro reduction.

Nitration is a universal group of chemical procedure for the opening of a nitro group keen on an organic chemical compound. Clemmensen reduction is a chemical reaction explain because a reduction of ketone to alkanes using Zinc amalgam and Hydrochloric acid.

Friedel Crafts alkylation followed by Oxidation.

Friedel Crafts alkylation involves the alkylation of an aromatic circle with an alkyl halide using a strong Lewis acid catalyst. The given product toluene is oxidized using KMnO4 we get benzoic acid and also side chain brominated using NBS.
