The immunosuppressive drugs are used in patients undergoing organ transplant and autoimmune disorders. These drugs will effectively kill both activated T-cell and T-cells. When tissue graft from another individual is donated to the recipient, the MHC proteins are identical, and immune cells will think the donated tissue as a foreign organism and try to destroy it. Therefore, to avoid the rejection, the immunosuppressive drugs are employed.
