Concept Introduction:
Amino acids are the organic molecule with two functional groups; -NH2 and −COOH. Amino acids involve in condensation reaction through their amino and carboxylic acid group. This results in the formation of the amide linkage between two amino acids. It is also called as peptide bond and the molecule formed is called as amino acid. Two amino acids can combine in two different manners to form different amino acids. The left side of peptide is called as N-terminal which has free −NH2 group whereas right end is called as C-terminal and has free −COOH group in the molecule.
