Chapter 19, Problem 14TYR
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Sinoatrial node (SA) is termed as natural pacemaker of the heart, since the heartbeat initiation starts from this node. An average adult human heart beats of 70 to 100 beats per minute. The heartbeat pulse from the SA node travels to the atrioventricular node (AV) from where it travels down to the bundle of His and finally terminates at Purkinje fibers, thereby it innervates the entire heart to conduct the heartbeat conduction system.
