Answer to Problem 32R

To obtain the balanced chemical equation by changing the compounds amounts in a chemical reaction, the coefficients are used.

Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

A chemical equation is said to be balanced if the number of same atoms on the reactants side becomes equal to the product side.

A chemical reaction becomes a balanced chemical equation only if the number of same atoms on the left side is equal to that of the producing atoms on the right side of a chemical reaction. Hence, for producing the balanced chemical equation by changing the compounds amount’s in a chemical reaction, the coefficients are used.

Conclusion:

Thus, unbalanced chemical equations can be converted into balanced chemical equation by using coefficients.
