Question
Chapter 19, Problem 4RQ
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The sequence of heart chamber contraction.
Introduction:
The heart comprises four chambers, right atria, left atrium, right ventricle, and left ventricle. The right auricle and ventricle carry deoxygenated blood while the left auricle and ventricle carry oxygenated blood. The heart has two types of valves, which are atrioventricular valve and semilunar valve and these valves prevent the backflow of blood.

Which part of the conducting system of the heart is localized in the interventricular septum? (a) the atrioventricular node, (b) the sinoatrial node, (c) the atrioventricular bundle, (d) the Purkinje fibers.
The amount of blood forced out of the heart depends on the, (a) degree of stretching at the end of ventricular diastole. (b) contractility of the ventricle.(c) amount of pressure required to eject blood. (d) a, b, and c are correct.
