The structure of real and the fake
Concept introduction:
All the information regarding growth and development is contained within the genes present in the DNA.
DNA is a double-stranded helical structure. During cell division, each daughter cell gets a copy of the parent DNA.
The 4 nucleotide bases that make up a DNA molecule are adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G), and cytosine (C).
The complementary base for A is T and G for C.
The DNA cannot remain as a single strand; therefore, it also divides, which is known as replication.
The complementary bases are held together by hydrogen bonds, which are directed towards the interior of the DNA helix.
