Chapter 19, Problem 9CRCAQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
The features of the heart that contribute to the sequence of ventricular contraction and flow of blood from the apex of the heart into the arteries.
Introduction:
The heart has four chambers known as left atrium or ventricle and the right atrium or ventricle. The contraction of the chamber occurs when the blood flows from one chamber to the other chamber of the heart. The contraction of atrium occurs when the blood moves from the atrium to the ventricle while ventricular contraction takes place during the blood flow through the ventricle to the arteries.

Fibrillation is abnormal, rapid contractions of different parts of the heartthat prevent the heart muscle from contracting as a single unit. Explainwhy atrial fibrillation does not immediately cause death but ventricularfibrillation does.
Blood from the ventricles is “squeezed” out of the heart from the apex toward the great arteries. What features of the heart contribute to this sequence of contraction?
Idenitfy the incorrect statement about the heart
(A) if a coronary artery is blocked, it can lead to a myocardial infarction
(B) coronary circulation is between the heart an lungs
(C) some symptoms of a heart attack can include chest pain, nausea, and light headedness
(D) the chorade teninae and papillary mkuscles prevent eversion upon ventricular contraction
