Explanation of Solution

The countries in which industries have not developed fully and have low living standards in comparison to developed nations are developing nations. Developing nations contribute to the growth of the world economy. Many times the per capita GDP of developing nations is better than developed nations.

The developing nation for which an individual will prepare a plan to make it grow quickly is India. The negative characteristics that are obstacles in economic growth and plans to overcome them are as listed below:

India is one of the fastest developing economies. However, the country faces many problems that slow down its economic growth. Subsistence agriculture is found in the economy, which means that many agricultural families grow that many crops only that can fulfill their needs only. If these families are provided with better agricultural facilities, they can enhance their products and can sell that product for their living.

Another problem is the poor health conditions in the country. There lies the problem of malnutrition and the shortage of doctors and hospitals. This causes a higher infant mortality rate which further causes lower life expectancy in adults. For any economy to develop, it is important that the adults are more into the working force. The country should work to develop the health facilities by which the life expectancy of adults can be improved.

The lower literacy rate is also one of the problems in the country. It is important for people to be literate enough to work in technical and skilled fields. The country has to work on literacy plans in rural areas to make the adult workforce capable enough to work sufficiently.

One of the biggest issues is the rapid population growth. The country is facing a rapid increase in population which is the root cause of problems like lack of food and housing for people. The country has to develop family planning plans and has to increase awareness among people regarding this.

When the country will work on all of these negative characteristics, only then the country will be able to grow its economy fast.
