Introduction:

PCR (polymerase chain reaction) is a technique used in molecular biology to amplify a single copy or few copies of segment of DNA to synthesize the new strand of DNA. PCR is used to make copies of DNA, it is of many types like, real time PCR, nested PCR, and semi- nested PCR. PCR has three main steps: Denaturing, Annealing, Extension. PCR reaction contains template DNA, DNA polymerase, Primers, Deoxynucleotide triphosphates, DNA polymerase, Mg 2+ ions, and buffer.
