Summary Introduction
The cis-regulatory elements are mostly composed of one or more binding sites for transcription factors. Some of which are function as activators and other repress the transcription. Thus, the transcription rate of a gene present in any kind of cell is identified by the transcription factor combination which existing in the cell. The combination of transcription factors in the cell to regulate the expression of a gene is called the combinatorial control.
