Question
Chapter 19.6, Problem 13AYLO
Summary Introduction
To discuss:
How the calcium imbalance affects the contractility of the heart and changes in cardiac function according to the hypocalcemia and hypercalcemia.
Introduction:
The inherent ability of the myocardium to contract itself by overcoming the stress factors is said to be the heart contractility. This contractility is highly influenced by some chemical agents like ions, and these are said to be inotropic agents. Ions that bring an increase in heart contractility are said to be positive inotropic, and the one that bring a decrease in heart contractility are said to be negative inotropic agents.

She lives in a downtown apartment and uses public transportation to travel across town to visit her husband’s grave weekly. What are the circulatory causes of her leg pain?
