Case summary:
Company C is a medium-sized consumer products manufacturer. Person B was the plant manager of Company C and he is liked by all employees. All employees were grateful for the fitness centre that he builds for them, picnics and holiday parties.
He always believed that treating employees properly helps to maintain their loyalty. Under leadership of Person B the turnover of the plant records lowest and second worst record for production costs. He was asked to take retirement early and replaced with Person P.
Person P had a good reputation as a manager and supervisors were instructed to begin high-performance standards. He believed that, when workers do not work properly then company should get rid of them.
