A water molecule is shaped like a ‘V’ and consists of an oxygen atom and two hydrogen atoms. In water, the polar covalent bonds link the hydrogen and oxygen atoms in each molecule. The presence of hydrogen bond stabilizes water in form of liquid. Therefore, the presence of hydrogen bonds helps the water to evaporate less into the gaseous phase.
