Introduction:

The genomic DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) present in the nucleus of the cell is very large and this is a need to be packed in the form of condensed small fiber so that it can adjust into the cell. The packaging of the DNA is done by histone proteins and this protein-DNA complex is known as chromatin. These fibers are present like beads on string structure in the cell. Chromosomes are the condensed form of the chromatin carrying genetic information as genes.
