  • N is number of neutrons.
  • Z is atomic number.

The given symbol, 16O , represents that oxygen has 16_ mass number (A) .

The atomic number (Z) of oxygen is 8 .

Hence, number of protons and electrons is 8_ as it is an uncharged atom.

The number of neutrons is calculated by the formula,
