Chapter 2, Problem 26CA
Summary Introduction

To define:

The term ‘buffer’.

Introduction:

The chemical reaction is defined as the type of reaction in which two or more substances undergo chemical reactions and form a new substance. The substances which react with each other are known as reactant while the new one formed is known as a product. Substances that are involved in a chemical reaction are either compounds or elements.

Chemical reactions involve the reaction of acids and bases to form products. Acids and bases have their own pH range at which they work. But sometimes in a chemical reaction, the pH of the solution is either high or low, so it spoils the chemical reaction. For that, the buffer is used to stabilize the pH of a solution.
