Summary Introduction

To explain:

The relationship between molecules and compounds.

Introduction:

Atom is the smallest particle that shows chemical property and is the building block of matter. Atom is formed by the combination of subatomic particles such as protons, electrons, and neutrons. Equal number of protons and neutrons are present in the nucleus of an atom which is located at the center of the atom.

Electrons are negatively charged and are present in equal numbers outside the nucleus. When two or more atoms are combined they form molecules and if atoms present in different elements are combined then compounds are produced.
