Question
Chapter 2, Problem 29SAE
Summary Introduction
To analyze:
On the basis of the pH (potential of hydrogen) 3.3 and 4.3, determine how many times the substance is acidic than the other.
Introduction:
The concentration of H+ (hydrogen ions) along with OH– (hydroxyl ions) is measured in terms of pH. The scale lies in between 0 and 14. All the acids lie between 0 and 7 on the scale. All the bases lie between 7 and 14 on the pH scale. The substances incapable of releasing either of the two ions are considered neutral and have a pH 7.
