Chapter 2, Problem 67P
When a soccer ball is kicked toward a player and the player deflects the ball by “heading” it, the acceleration of the head during the collision can be significant. Figure 2-38 gives the measured acceleration a(t) of a soccer player’s head for a bare head and a helmeted head, starting from rest. The scaling on the vertical axis is set by as = 200 m/s2. At time t = 7.0 ms, what is the difference in the speed acquired by the bare head and the speed acquired by the helmeted head?

A bungee jumper reaches a speed of 40 m/s just as the cord begins to stretch. If the time of stretch is 4s, what is the magnitude of the jumpers average deceleration?
-------*34 In Fig.2-27, a red car and a green car, identical except for the color, move toward each other in adjacent lanes and parallel to an x axis. At time t = 0, the red car is at x, = 0 and the green car is at x, = 220 m. If the red car has a constant velocity of 20 km/h, the cars pass each other at x = 44.5 m, and if it has a constant velocity of 40 km/h, they pass each other at x = 76.6 m. What are (a) the initial velocity and (b) the constant acceleration of the green car?-----I GOT THIS PART!!! THIS IS A REFERENCE.
During a braking test, a car is brought to rest beginning from an initial speed of 54 mi/hr in a distance of 134 ft. With the same constant deceleration, what would be the stopping distance s from an initial speed of 75 mi/hr?
