Chapter 2, Problem 6PC
Annual Pay
Suppose an employee gets paid every two weeks and earns $2,200 each pay period. In a year, the employee gets paid 26 times. Write a
payAmount | This variable will hold the amount of pay the employee cams each pay period. Initialize the variable with 2200.0. |
payPeriods | This variable will hold the number of pay periods in a year. Initialize the variable with 26. |
annual Pay | This variable will hold the employee’s total annual pay, which will be calculated. |
The program should calculate the employee’s total annual pay by multiplying the employee’s pay amount by the number of pay periods in a year and store the result in the annual Pay variable. Display the total annual pay on the screen.

8. Total Purchase
A customer in a store is purchasing five items. The prices of the five items are as follows:
Price of item 1= $15.95
Price of item 2= $24.95
Price of item 3= $6.95
Price of item 4= $12.95
Price of item 5= $3.95
Write a program that holds the prices of the five items in five variables. Display each item's price, the subtotal of the sale, the amount of sales tax, and the total. Assume the sales tax is 7 percent.
Simulate the dice game of lucky sevens. The rules are:
roll two dice
if the sum equals 7, win $4
if the sum is not 7, lose $1
Write a program that asks the user how much they would like start the game with. The program should then:
simulate the dice roll (using the random function) and show what was rolled
show what the user’s funds are after each roll
ask the user if they want to roll again
if the user wants to roll again, repeat the three actions above
if the user does not want to roll again give some response and end the game
the final output should show if they won or lost money, and how many rolls they played
(Science: calculating energy) Write a program that calculates the energy needed to heat water from an initial temperature to a final temperature. Your program should prompt the user to enter the amount of water in kilograms and the initial and final temperatures of the water. The formula to compute the energy is Q = M * (finalTemperature – initialTemperature) * 4184 where M is the weight of water in kilograms, temperatures are in degrees Celsius, and energy Q is measured in joules.

- 4. During each summer, John and Jessica grow vegetables in their backyard and buy seeds and fertilizer from a local nursery. The nursery carries different types of vegetable fertilizers in various bag sizes. When buying a particular fertilizer, they want to know the price of the fertilizer per pound and the cost of fertilizing per square foot. The following program prompts the user to enter the size of the fertilizer bag, in pounds, the cost of the bag, and the area, in square feet, that can be covered by the bag. The program should output the desired result. However, the program contains logic errors. Find and correct the logic errors so that the program works properly. // Logic errors. #include #include using namespace std; int main() { double costs double area; double bagsize; cout > bagsize; cout > cost; cout > area; cout << endl; cout << "The cost of the fertilizer per pound is: $" << bagsize / cost << endl; cout << "The cost of fertilizing per square foot is: $" << area / cost << endl; return 0; }arrow_forward(Physics) Coulomb’s Law states that the force, F, acting between two electrically charged spheres is given by this formula: F=kq1q2r2 q1isthechargeonthefirstsphere.q2isthechargeonthesecondsphere.risthedistancebetweenthecentersofthetwospheres.kisaproportionalityconstant. - Answer this question Write a program that calculates and displays a person’s body mass index (BMI). The BMI is often used to determine whether a person with a sedentary lifestyle is overweight or underweight for his or her height. A person’s BMI is calculated with the following formula:BMI = weight × 703 / height2where weight is measured in pounds and height is measured in inches. The program should display a message indicating whether the person has optimal weight, is underweight, or is overweight. A sedentary person’s weight is considered to be optimal if his or her BMI is between 18.5 and 25. If the BMI is less than 18.5, the person is considered to be underweight. If the BMI value is greater than 25, the person is considered to be overweightarrow_forward(Rounding Numbers) Function floor can be used to round a number to a specific decimal place. However, if it goes outside that range it prints an error. FOR EXAMPLE**** PLEASE READ*** If the user inputs their systolic variable as 100 and their systolic as 90, it will print an error. If the systolic & diastolic measurements are vastly different the program prints an error, if you could help resolve this issue it would be greatly appreciated.arrow_forward
