Introduction:
The heart is a muscular organ that pumps the blood throughout the body. A large percentage of the heart wall is made up of the thick layer, which is known as as myocardium. The myocardium has its supply of arteries and capillaries which transport blood to cardiocytes. The blood vessels of the heart wall make up the coronary circulation system.
