The proteins must be carefully matched before an organ transplant.
Introduction:
Organ transplant is a treatment method for many patients to replace a damaged or missing organ, where an organ is removed from a donor to recipient body. There are four types of grafts:
Autografts are organ transplantation in the same person, where tissue grafts are transplanted from one to another body site in the same person.
Isografts are organ transplantation in the genetically identical persons, the only example being identical twins.
Allografts are organ transplantation in the genetically non-identical persons belonging to the same species.
Xenografts are organ transplantation between two different species, such as transplanting a monkey heart into a human.
