Ionizing radiations like X-rays are now a day used to diagnosis patents having cancer. Ionizing radiation contains high energy charged particles like electrons, protons or other ions. These high energies charged particles are used to kill the tumor cells leaving the other healthy cells surroundings. However, each type of radiation has different affect towards the cells. The reasons behind that are explained in the next section.
